Please be advised that the closing date for nominations for the position of Honorary Treasurer is Friday July 5th 2013 to be received by 5.00p.m. On that date addressed to the undersigned at:
20 Inis Carraig House, Athlone, County Westmeath. (Nominations by signed letter or fax only)
As per Rule a Nominee must be a Company Member. Election for the above position will take place on Saturday July 20th at 11:00am in AIT Athlone.

Substance Misuse Message
Why do you need to consider Substance Misuse?
The role of peers and positive adult role models is widely acknowledged as having a huge impact on the choices young people make around drinking, smoking and using drugs. In Ireland, approximately 5500 deaths each year are directly linked to smoking. Irish people experience more harm as a result of alcohol than any other Europeans and the availability of harmful illegal substances is widespread. The evidence is showing us that a significant proportion of young people are experimenting with these substances so it is important that the HSE Community Games adopts a pro-active approach to reducing exposure and risks to its participants and volunteers.
Some Key Facts
- 32% of 10-17 year old Irish children have reported smoking at one point.
- The average age that an Irish child starts to drink is 11.6 years old.
- 1/5 of girls aged 15-17 and 1/3 of boys aged 15-17 have reported cannabis use.
