Now We Move!

MOVE Week -  Monday 29th September to Sunday 4th October

The MOVE Week is a time dedicated to celebrating sport and physical activity, and the Flagship Event for the NowWeMove campaign. It brings European wide sport and physical activity events under one umbrella, and is a demonstration of the benefit and power physical activity and sport can have on individuals and society as a whole.

In 2013, MOVE Week broke its record of participation and is set to continue in 2014!

The HSE Community Games is encouraging children to get active and participate in activities in their schools. From Monday 29th September to Friday 3rd October, Áine, Leslie and Dawn helped deliver training sessions to children living in Cork, Dublin, Waterford and Belfast. The aim was to get active, have fun and increase the participation numbers from Ireland to this Europe wide event.

If you would like to get involved send in your photos and a few lines about what you did to celebrate sport and physical activity to admin@communitygames.ie. It can be an activity that you do alone, with a team or with a group of friends.
