President - Miceal Curley
National President Miceal is a retired Tourism Official who has been involved with Community Games for the past 36 years, starting out like many before him as a parent getting his children involved in sport and culture locally, in the Maugheraboy area, in Sligo. He has served in every capacity on the Area Committee down through the years. He has been involved with Co. Sligo for almost 30 years, serving in that time as Games Director, Chairman and President as well as acting as County Manager in Mosney. He also served as his county's NEC delegate for a number of years.

Miceal is also a serving member on the Connaught Provincial Committee for many years. He has been involved at National level for many years, first as NEC delegate for his county, then on the Standing Orders and Finance Committees. He was elected as a member of the Board of Directors in 2007 before being elected as President in 2008 and again in 2009.

As well as being President of the National Community Games he retains his commitment to the local area where he is also currently President. He remains involved with Community Games because he believes strongly in the value of the organisation in providing opportunities to children and young people to become involved in active healthy lifestyles. He urges everyone to get involved and stresses that every bit helps.

Miceal has a lifelong interest in sport and has always enjoyed keeping fit and healthy through a variety of activities. He remains a keen swimmer. He has been an avid GAA supporter of the Green and Red of Mayo since their All-Ireland double in 1950 & 1951, and his student days in St. Nathy's College, Ballaghadereen, Co. Roscommon and University College Cork. He is also a loyal follower and keen spectator of our national representative teams, particularly Rugby and Soccer, travelling abroad frequently to see them play.
